As most of us know, Cancer is the nurturer of the Zodiac. They act as the ‘family historian’ in more ways than one! Because Cancer is a Water Sign, they have a tendency to ‘absorb’ all the things that are going on around them. This blesses them with a fabulous memory. Throughout their childhood, they accumulate impressions of places, people and events, regardless whether the recollections are positive or negative. Our Star Crab can therefore recall where we were on a particular year, what we were doing and sometimes, what the weather was like at the time in question! The downside of this is their tendency to hold onto the negative memories and impressions along with the positive ones. With Saturn’s influence, every seven years, Cancer pulls out one or two of these memories and puts it into an adult perspective. Painful? Yes sometimes, but totally necessary. As good as this time of the year can feel it also evokes a lot of sentimentality and you can handle only so much at one time! Taurus (April 21st - May 20th) The New Moon in Cancer on the 2nd sets the pace for a busy month. You will feel as if you are glued to your car seat! Visits and projects involving family members and neighbors permeate the month. If your children are not caught up in summer events, this is a great time to schedule a vacation. Venus, your ruling planet is in sentimental Cancer, sweetening your interchanges with others at a time when you need it the most. One of your children may be going through a rough spot and needs a pat on the back. The Full Moon in Capricorn on the 18th shows us what needs to be balanced. This is a good time to rethink your budget and refocus your priorities. Your tolerance may be growing thin if your family seems to use you like an ATM. If so, by the end of the month you just might draw the line! Think of the things that have real value to you. Emotional serenity is most certainly one of them. Gemini, you have strong family values. Center on your own peace of mind now. The Full Moon in Capricorn on the 18th finds you feeling a little out of sorts. Mars is in Virgo and usually sets the stage for a confrontation or at the very least, makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin. Chances are, you are feeling as if everyone is being too hard on you. Truth be known, you are doing the same to yourself. Cancer (June 22nd – July 22nd) Happy birthday or in Astrological terms, ‘Happy Solar Return!’ Beginning with the New Moon in Cancer on the 2nd and continuing all month, you will gain personal insight and a new emotional perspective. Review your emotional needs. Are you receiving what you need in order to feel fulfilled? Cancer has the habit of mothering all but seldom nurtures themselves as much. Spend some time by a lake, or purchase a fountain or a hot tub. Another great thing to indulge in is a steam bath! Love yourself and others will too. Relationships take center stage around the time of the Full Moon in Capricorn on the 18th. This Full Moon allows you to refocus and review your interactions with your closest partners and friends. You require a grounded, responsible partner but mainly one who is emotionally available. If they are not, this point may be the topic of conversation. If the conversation becomes awkward, a little laughter can work magic. You will also have the opportunity to delegate a little responsibility to others. Lighten your load and pass it on. Leo (July 23rd – August 22nd) The New Moon in Cancer on the 2nd jump-starts your intuition for the rest of the month. In other words, your antenna will be in fine fettle! Listen to your instincts when it comes to issues with family and home matters. As gregarious as you usually are, you may find more comfort in your own company at this time. Solitude works wonders when the rest of the world leaves you feeling frazzled. A spiritual retreat would be fabulous. Visits or trips to hospitals, institutions or spiritual sanctuaries could be part of the scenario. Venus in your sign at the time of the Full Moon in Capricorn on the 18th makes you feel romantic, creative and self-indulgent. By golly, you need attention! The ancient Tarot is reflected in many Metaphysical Arts. Astrology and Numerology are two that strongly reflect its influence. Not only can we assign a Tarot card to a particular Astrological Sign, we can correspond it with our Personal Numerology Number or Life Path. If you were born under the Astrological Sign Cancer or the number seven plays an important role in your Numerology, The Chariot is your card! Because the vibration of this card is universal energy, we will all feel it through the month of July. For years I wrestled with the Astrology correspondence assigned to this Major Arcana card! It is one that immediately brings the Sign Sagittarius to mind. ‘Movement, travel, channeling energy,’ are keywords that well, just feel like Sagittarius! On the other hand, when you realize this little guy cannot, will not make progress on his Journey unless he harnesses his emotional energy, you know who this card belongs too. If you are a Cancer you have spent your life working through those deep emotions and feelings. You also know how the past can hold you in place as if you were pushing against an invisible wall.
