I WANT TO WISH YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I know that during the holidays many of you are missing your loved ones that are on the other side. I myself miss my daughter Jennifer that died on Dec 11, 1997. The Angels said to tell all of you that Your Loved Ones are with you and are sending you a big hugs. Take a good look at the pictures you take this season, as you might see your loved one on the other side in them :) Many times they show up as a light. The greatest gift that you can give yourself and other during the holiday season is the gift of time. So take time to enjoy yourself and others. Life is so short. Enjoy being here on earth the Angels said to tell you… Really look at the Christmas lights with a child like wonder. Enjoy eating that extra Christmas cookie without feeling guilty about it. Hug the ones you love for an extra minute or two. Send something special to someone who has touched you heart, Really look into someone eyes when you wish them Merry Christmas. When you are doing your holiday cooking have a song in your heart and make an extra batch of cookies to send to someone that makes you smile. Do random acts of Kindness. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried or until your drink squirted out of your nose? Do you recall having a case of the ‘giggles’ so badly you just could not stop? We easily forget the cleansing power of humor. Sagittarius however, knows how to make the most of a heartfelt belly laugh! Sagittarius Ruled by the Element of Fire can find the humor in their problems. Thus, depression cannot easily secure a foothold in their hearts. Eternal optimists, they are blessed with the ability to see the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ no matter how daunting life may seem. Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of ‘excess,’ these people seldom do anything halfway! Honesty is important to Sagittarius and they are famed for it, hence the tendency to put their ‘foot in their mouth!’ Avid readers, they can seldom resist that ‘new edition’ of their favorite tome…or a maybe a few others! Let them live, Aries! Do not lose patience with yourself and others. Mars in this sign puts on the pressure, making us feel more sensitive than usual. Mars is your ruler. Therefore, you can count on its having a push pull effect on your psyche. It’s uncomfortable for you to feel so emotional. Normally when you are feeling sensitive, you can get it out and it's over. Now you will have a harder time doing so. Use caution when working on home projects. This effect may be intensified by the Full Moon on the 23rd. Follow the outline for the New Moon above. Also be sure to watch yourself on the road and at home. Slow down. That’s a tall order for an Aries, but doing so could prevent an accident. We all have times when we seem bent on bumping our elbow or tripping on our own two feet. This may well be one of those occasions. This placement highlights your relationships and communication with those who are closest to you. As Mars is Retrograde, there will be a lot of deep feelings simmering below the surface between you and your significant other. You may have to work a little harder to get them out now. Though we have a few planets in jovial Sagittarius, you may have an uneasy need for privacy. These same planets in Sagittarius in your Solar 8th House may make you want to spend in a devil may care manner! Yes, even you! Proceed with caution. The Full Moon of the 23rd has the potential to provoke emotional disagreements between family members. Due to the placement of the planets, this holds true for many folks this holiday. Mars Retrograde is transiting your Solar Third House of siblings. Take it easy especially if there has been a problem in the past. If not, both you and your sib will probably be more sentimental this year. Drive defensively and be particularly careful on the road at this time. This placement of Mars can make you feel like you need to hurry, which is doubled at this time of year. Slow down and enjoy the holiday. Gemini (May 21st – June 21st) Planets in jovial Sagittarius line up in your Solar 7th House at the time of the New Moon on the 9th. Your Ruler Mercury also shares that space, putting you in the mood for relating! Your spouse or significant other could have a case of the wanderlust around this time. Hopefully, you will be able to get away or make plans to do so. Even a short trip would be satisfying, if not now, at a later date. This would be a great time to sit down and plan together. A weekend getaway to someplace woodsy would be great. No matter the chilly temperatures, nature is calling to you now. Mars Retrograde is transiting your Solar 2nd House. On the Full Moon, you may have a equate your self worth with your current financial state or whether or not you have achieved certain goals. Do not spoil your holiday with thinking like this. Realize that you are in a state of flux and will need to reformulate new ones. Saturn has made you more self-critical than normal. You may have also attracted others who are more than willing to do the job for you. Resist undue criticism and regroup. Like many of us, you may have spread yourself too thin. Being good to yourself allows the miracles to manifest. Cancer (June 22nd – July 22nd) Mars in your sign at the time of the New Moon on the 9th rather uncomfortable. Cancer, you are very kind and caring. Others love you for your sense of sympathy and nurturing soul. However, Mars in Cancer has been making you far more sensitive than normal. You may actually surprise a few people! Along with this comes an intense need to assert yourself. This may be directed at a family member, a female friend or an acquaintance. We will all be feeling rather reactive and sensitive than normal for awhile. Exercise some patience with yourself and those around you. This too shall pass. This Astrologer is not one for gloom and doom. I believe that there is a good and bad side to everything. Therefore, the time of the Full Moon of the 23rd can be a highly productive time if used to its full potential. The caveat here is twofold. With Mars in your Solar 1st House conjoined with the Moon, you may feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster. If you channel this energy into working on the house or other activities, you can achieve what you never have before! Also, it is equally important not to allow anyone else to push your buttons. Detach, my dear Cancer and have a serene holiday. Leo (July 23rd – August 22nd) The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 9th takes place in your Solar fifth house of children, fun and romance. This Moon can pick up your spirits and inspire your sense of wanderlust and adventure. If you are a parent, it increases communication with your children and is actually a great help if you are separated from them at this time of year. Sagittarius spells optimism and humor. Even though we are all feeling emotionally uncertain, it is time for celebration. Get out and kick up your heels! Saturn in Virgo cautions you to use moderation, but you can still have a great time. Go for it! The Full Moon in Cancer on the 23rd makes us all feel a bit emotionally torn. Cancer is a feminine, sensitive sign while Capricorn is all business. Luckily, if you are feeling a bit combustible, no one will be the wiser. You can act your way through any social situation in your usual style. The danger here is stuffing your feelings. It is entirely possible that a female family member may tread on your toes or on the other hand, become a focus of your concern. Surfacing feelings of anger that you have been previously unaware of is another possibility. Whatever the case, walking the middle road is the answer. Virgo (August 23rd – September 22nd) Virgo, you have been experiencing a new planetary focus since Labor Day. The New Moon in Sagittarius will add a new dimension to the things you have already been observing. This is typically a rushed and hurried time of year. If you are not careful, you can work yourself into more of a tizzy than normal! Slow down and take one think at a time. Most holidays you have everything in order, wrapped and in place. This year may be different. Stop being so hard on yourself and make time for personal freedom. Decide what you can sacrifice in order to do so comfortably. The Full Moon in Cancer on the 23rd finds you examining your goals. We know how important it is to you to accomplish the things you set out to achieve. Remember you are in the process of regrouping and learning some major lessons. Even though you may feel you are coming up short, it is possible that you need to re-examine your aims and become more realistic about how much you can handle. It may seem that life is getting in your way at this time and preventing you from doing what you wish. Calm down and reassess your situation. Do not take criticism to heart at this time.
You may feel a need to pull back from the crowd during the New Moon in Sagittarius on the 9th. This socially gregarious Lunar Phase takes place while your ruling planet is in the sign of Scorpio. How does that affect you? You may experience more of a need for privacy and reject those who try to muscle into your space without an invitation. Let others solve their own problems. Scorpio (Oct 24th – Nov. 22nd) Venus in your sign on the New Moon in Sagittarius on the 9th will heighten your need for personal gratification. Food will taste much better, new clothes will look more appealing and so on. Be especially careful now as the line up in Sagittarius takes place in your solar second house. This devil may care sign may inspire you to spend much more freely than you normally would. Have fun! But be aware that is could happen. On the other hand, the New Moon in a particular area of the chart can create positive change. Mars, your co-ruler is in Cancer at the time of the Full Moon on the 23rd. It is also retrograde. This could present some problems but also, uncover solutions if you pay close attention. Scorpio, it is your nature to be a private person, even going to the length of putting up an invisible ‘wall’ between yourself and others if you feel threatened. Do not let this emotionally combustible phase send you into ‘shutdown’ mode. Instead, think about your feelings and talk to someone you trust. You may uncover information that has been hidden or held back for some time now. Sagittarius (Nov. 23rd – Dec 21st) The New Moon in your sign on the 9th has the potential to send you into a ‘tizzy.’ Duties and obligations will temper your natural sense of wanderlust. Unexpected events at home or within the family seem to add to the situation. Do not allow these things to get you down! Instead, plan a trip for a later date or schedule some time off when life is not so complicated. Vow to make this a peaceful holiday. Look for ways to make your life easier. Make a list of the things you need to do and attack them one at a time. Planning a new Christmas game or agenda for the holidays keeps you in live with the energy. The Full Moon in Cancer on the 23rd can be an emotionally volatile time for us all. This is because Mars is in the lineup, creating a combustible, moody air for the holidays. Try to work with it rather than allowing it to work with you! Instead of feeling angry and giving yourself a case of the ‘shoulda, woulda, coulda’s,’ lighten up and try to accept people for who they are. This placement signifies secrets, dreams and the higher mind. This is also the part of the chart that represents your spiritual side, rather than organized religion. If you find yourself in turmoil now it may center around your need to connect with your Spiritual Source in a way that is more suited to the person you have become. Search for the middle road. The Full Moon in Cancer on the 23rd could have been more trying for you, had you not read your horoscope! You are usually controlled and reasonable, but this Full Cycle can make you wonder if an alien took possession of your body! Aquarius (Jan 21st – Feb 18th) The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 9th delivers more invitations than you know what to do with! People want you, you social butterfly! These events create more strain on your checkbook, so plan accordingly. If you do, this could bring a whole new group or social circle into your life. You are a natural goal setter and this New Moon brings out that part of your personality. Take an objective look at your goals for the year to come. The way Saturn is operating in your chart could inspire you to take on more than you can chew. The danger is your need to do everything to perfection. Weigh things accordingly. The Full Moon in Cancer in the 23rd takes place in your Solar 6th house, creating some stress with a relative or someone in your place of work. You will undoubtedly observe the situation with your gift of objectivity but keep in mind, others will not necessarily emulate your sensible approach. We will all be feeling more emotional now, particularly women or female family members. Emotions will run much higher than normal no matter where you look. This is a very uncomfortable situation for Aquarius who sees the big picture, no matter what. Act as a guide for others and detach where need be. Pisces (Feb 19th – Mar 20th) The New Moon is Sagittarius on the 9th will act as a reflection of the ways that you are changing. Over the years you have become more open-minded and have a real desire to try new things and discover more of what life has to offer. Since Labor Day, Saturn has added another dimension to the changes that are already taking place. Now you have begun to see aspects of your life that need to change. This focus can be so strong at times that any Pisces worth their salt wants to run and hide! Instead, invite this new sense of clarity into your life and you will benefit all the more for it. The Full Moon in Cancer on the 23rd finds you surrounded by emotionally reactive people. Normally this sort of thing really bothers you, but I urge you to take it all with a grain of salt. Rather than allowing the moods, trials and tribulations of others to brig you down, take a couple of steps back. Truthfully, this too shall pass and is part of the new awareness you will be presented with. Analyze the situation but do not back away. Look at it from a clinical standpoint. Children may be the source of mixed emotions on your part but you can remedy the situation by trying this new approach.
The Tarot Card for the Month of December
The ancient, mystical Tarot harmonizes well with other metaphysical themes. One is Astrology and another is Numerology. Each of the cards of the Major and Minor Arcana have an assigned Astrological counterpart. The interpretations tend to vary from source to source but most remain fairly consistent. Each month we will examine the appropriate Major Arcana cards assigned to the Astrological Signs that dominate our target months. What messages do they hold for us as individuals? Do they reflect the seasons, current topics or events? If you know your Numerology numbers it can be beneficial to compare them with the Tarot card that corresponds with them. For example: If the number three is one of your personal numbers, The Empress III has particular significance for you. We can do this with the rest of the Major Arcana as well. The Temperance Angel represents all that is good about the season. At this time of year, we focus on tolerance, generosity and hope. Because this card is closely tied with the Astrology sign Sagittarius, part of the theme is expanding our horizons. Balance is very important with this card. Temperance asks that we pace ourselves. Some of us will undoubtedly pay the price for not doing so. This includes excessive holiday weight gain, indigestion and exhaustion! If your birth date, month and year reduces to 14, 9 or 5, you have had a significantly interesting life. You partake a little from all philosophies rather than a few. In fact, you may have numerous philanthropic interests. You certainly are your own person with a ready sense of humor and passion for life.
